Editorial Guidelines & Team

Who creates and reviews our content, the sources we rely on, and how we keep it current — set out transparently.

Who is behind the content

The calculators and guides on Zeit-Rechner.com are produced and maintained by the Zeit-Rechner editorial team — developers and writers focused on time management, payroll and German working-time law. We deliberately do not present a fictitious "expert" profile: the editorial team as a whole is accountable for the content, reachable via the details in our imprint.

How we work

  • Calculations: every function runs through a single, unit-tested engine, so a page cannot state "8 hours" while the calculator returns 7.50. The figures shown and the interactive tools share one source of truth.
  • Legal statements: claims about breaks, rest periods, night and overtime work cite the relevant section and link directly to the official statute text.
  • Updates: we update content when the law or the underlying data changes — not on a fixed publishing schedule. A displayed date reflects a real change to the content.
  • Corrections: we welcome expert feedback and corrections and incorporate them.
