Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is the operator named in the imprint, where you will also find the contact details for any privacy enquiries.

2. Principle: your calculations stay on your device

Every calculation on this site — time spans, working hours, countdowns, public holidays and bridge days — runs entirely locally in your browser. The values you enter are never transmitted to our servers or to third parties, and they are not stored.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When pages are requested, Vercel processes technically necessary server log files, in particular IP address, date and time of the request, the requested URL, referrer, browser type and operating system. This processing is required to deliver the site securely and reliably and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Cookies and local storage

No cookies are required to operate the calculators. We only use the following storage:

• Necessary (no consent required): your cookie choice and a few calculator interface preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device. Legal basis: § 25(2) TTDSG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
• Statistics (consent only): Google Analytics sets cookies or comparable identifiers — exclusively if you have agreed (see section 5).

5. Consent and Google Consent Mode

On your first visit we ask for your consent via a notice at the bottom of the page. Until you agree, all non-essential services are disabled by default ("denied" under Google Consent Mode v2) and the analytics script is not loaded at all. If you choose "Essential only", it stays that way.

You can change or withdraw your decision at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawal takes effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal is unaffected.

6. Google Analytics (consent only)

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It helps us understand which calculators and content are used so we can improve the site.

• Data processed includes a truncated IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, time on page and referrer.
• IP anonymisation is enabled; your IP address is truncated before any further processing.
• Transfer to Google LLC in the USA is possible, based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
• Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG.

7. Advertising

No advertising is currently served on this website and no advertising cookies are set. Should this change, we will update this section in advance and obtain your consent through the cookie notice before any such services are loaded.

8. Contacting us by email

If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract. We do not pass this data on without your consent and delete it once it is no longer required.

9. Retention

Server log files are deleted or anonymised automatically after a short period. Analytics data in Google Analytics is deleted after a maximum of 14 months. Your locally stored cookie choice remains until you change it or clear site data in your browser.

10. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

• access the personal data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR),
• withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), either where you reside or the authority responsible for the controller.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

We update this policy whenever our processing or the legal position changes. The version published here, with the date shown above, is the one that applies.
